Book launch at Ferlandina 26
On 8 November 2025 at 4 pm Pablo Amores presented «Desde un Rincón del Mediterráneo» (From a Corner of the Mediterranean), his first poetry collection, published by Ediciones Mala Edad, at Ferlandina 26 – an afternoon of poetry in our space in El Raval.
«Desde un Rincón del Mediterráneo»
Thirty poems written at thirty: the author himself calls them conversations with the winds, the ghosts and the seagulls. They deal with longing, absence and closeness in strongly visual images – looking down at swimming pools from a plane window («Meditación sobre las piscinas») or missing everything at once («Un ser extrañador»).
The book came out in August 2025 with Ediciones Mala Edad: 88 pages, paperback, 11.5 × 18 cm, designed by Pau Geis. There is also a «damaged edition» with small printing flaws. The poems are in Spanish.
Music videos
Pablo directs and edits music videos for the independent music scene. In an interview with Vanidad (2022) he talked about his videos for María Escarmiento – such as «Castigo», «Cristales», «Déjame sola» and «Quiero verlo todo azul» – and work for Natalia Lacunza and Orslok; he is fascinated by post-production and video synthesis.
Recent work includes «El Orden de las Cosas» by Mondo du Plantis, a stop-motion video co-directed with Sofía Prieto, and «Hazte Así» by José Luis, which he directed and edited.
Photography
In his photography Pablo looks for the poetry of everyday things: cars under covers, the screen of a bowling alley in Murcia, the last Saturday of August on a beach in Almería, lighting tests before a shoot. Simple, slightly strange images that talk to his poems.
